Just got it in the mail yesterday after a good deal on it and checked it out and yes the video noise is a bit distracting. I can definitely buy that it's crt based noise as it has rgb properties to it like pixels and snow on a crt tv during the days of analog broadcasts. You can tell there's decent video underneath it and it's not so bad that you can't enjoy the movie, but it is definitely there. Hopefully future Italian releases from Shriek Show will be devoid of such (the current video a stark contrast to the excellence that is Devil Dog's video).

I bought this Blu-ray against my better judgment because DeepDiscount had it on sale for roughly ten bucks. :p Have yet to check it out, but the weird "RGB grain" looks really bizarre on the screencaps I've seen.

Media Blasters puts together some of the most stupidest interviews I have ever seen. First, with the Devil Dog Blu-ray, the director and the cast bash the hell out of that film. Now with Burial Grounds, they get the actress who played Michael's mother and she doesn't remember much about this film at all and says several times; "Ask the producer."

Gosh...I guess i'm going to have to replace my entire Italian zombie collection. If Burial Ground made it to Blu ray anything will. I just noticed most of the classic Fulci flicks went Blu ray. Unbelievable.

It's a real shame Midnight Legacy went belly-up after just one release. They knew how to treat these films properly.

AFTER DEATH, ZOMBI 3, HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD, and NIGHTMARE CITY are nowhere to be found in HD, and neither are similarly nasty films like GHOST HOUSE, ANTHROPOPHAGOUS, THE CHURCH or any number of fun Italian horror flicks. We got a large number of Argento and Fulci titles from Blue Underground (and thank goodness for that!), but plenty of other talented Italian film makers are perhaps forever going to be forgotten in the HD age, and that's a shame.

Arrow Video has suggested they're considering a Kickstarter project for a "risky" title... I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand if any of the above titles is picked, I'll throw $20 at them solely on principle and buy a copy if/when it comes out. On the other hand, if the fans have to pay for the transfer work because it's not profitable enough for the label itself to front the costs... well, the sales must really be in the toilet for these kinds of films.
