Couldn't believe it when I got home and it had turned up. Didn't even check the mail pile, just walked straight past it. Was only when my Dad said that something had arrived for me that I checked. Very nice steel. Haven't seen the film.

Question: Which disk is which? They both say "Original Film" on them and nothing else.

The one with the two ladys behind Farrell is extras, the One with Farrell on his own contains the two versions of the film and more extras.

Watched this last night and really enjoyed it. Great sci fi chase movie, can't understand why it got so many bad reviews!

the original film was good enough. a remake was not needed so alot of people just thought it was unnecessary plus colin farrell is a horrible actor

I haven't seen it but if I were to guess it would be because the original was beloved so this one really never had a chance even if it was a good movie.

Yeah I saw at the cinema and tought It was a very enjoyable no brainer.
My steelbook hasn't arrived obviously....early jan at a guess.

The WM is a 3-disc Blu-ray/DVD combo pack included while I believe the HMV it's only the 2-disc blu-rays.

WTF... There's some serious dubbing issues going on with this BD. The audio sync is waaaay out!

Ok so you can't Bitstream the Audio for this film. It puts the sync way out of time with the video

Had to switch to LPCM to get it playing properly. Surely this is a manufacturing fault, and there should be a replacement program.

Well Colin Farrell can be an excellent actor when he tries. Have you seen In Bruges? He's brilliant and hilarious in that. I agree that he wasn't so hot in this, his character was certainly less likeable than Arnie's Doug Quaid. Colin Farrell's Quaid was more generic male lead.

I love the original, but can certainly enjoy this remake for it's own merits. I love action heavy large scale movies so this fits the bill perfectly (see my Battleship avatar

I know not everyone cares about what the actual film is like

but I watched an HD stream of this last night and its really not very good at all. Put it this way - I dont care how nice the steelbook is, Im not buying it!

Rent first is all Im saying...
