I would have ordered this, but I already have the 2D Edition Steelbook. As it is, I ordered Finding Nemo 3D through Prime...hasn't shipped yet but I have it with Overnight shipping.

Was the "Put That Thing Back Now or So Help Me" play during the end credits of the 3D re-release a special feature on any of the DVD/BD releases? If not, then I may actually have a reason to go get the 3D BD when it comes out, assuming they put it on there...

Update: nvm, I just found it on the BD with the outtakes, although they're very well hidden. Hopefully, we'll get them in the credits on the 3D BD coming out next month...
It's a cartoon, Bart. Cartoons don't have to make sense.

Shrek 1 & 2 were converted not re-rendered and they have more depth and look every bit as good as Finding Nemo and Up

It's nice to have Shrek 1 & 2 converted to 3D and I have enjoyed them, but IMO, they do not have the same 3D quality as Finding Nemo 3D, which IMO, has given me a native 3D quality experience.

None that I've heard, although I'm planning on all Pixar films making a 3d appearance sometime. We'll just have to be patient.

The guy who is in charge of converting Pixar's library into 3D said all of their movies would be converted into 3D. They probably have alrady finished and are just sitting on them for the right times to release them.

Are you setting your player's audio playback to Bitstream or LPCM? I've got mine set to LPCM and the tracks for both of those movies play back flawlessly.

Um, you're thinking of rotoscope and depth map conversions specifically, re-rendering an old movie is still called a conversion.

Pixar themself often calls it re-render, atleast for Finding Nemo since they do render it again with changes and often higher resolution.

Strangely i've never seen Monsters Inc, looking forward to a first viewing in 3D when the BD comes out.
"Still in all, every night we does the tell, so that we 'member who we was and where we came from... but most of all we 'members the man that finded us, him that came the salvage. And we lights the city, not just for him, but for all of them that are still out there. 'Cause we knows there come a night, when they sees the distant light, and they'll be comin' home."

Would be a interesting read if there was an article on making Monsters in 3D like the one on nemo. If they changed something and other stuff Have monsters in 2D so want to know if there is any noticable difference in PQ/AQ on the new set or if they just added the 3D disc.

It gave me two free tickets after entering the code from Nemo through the Disney Movie Rewards site. I didn't do anything differently.

As I understand the process I Agree! A second virtual camera creating the second image is just what it would look like if it was originally intended to be in native 3D.
