Funny thing is Texas showed zero interest in recruiting Johnny Manziel even though he played his high school football less than 2 hours away from Austin. I'm sure Mack Brown and the Texas staff are kicking themselves over that.

And ya, Texas A&M has an outstanding 2013 recruiting class. They're ranked #7 in the recruiting rankings on Rivals. And Texas A&M gets Alabama at College Station next season in what could be the biggest game of the season.

Not too surprising. But I think as much as anything else it's a Miami problem. Sporting events, outside of Super Bowls have had poor attendance for ages in that city. Even when the Hurricanes had one of the finest teams in college football history in 2001 when averaged less than 50k for home games.

Same with the Dolphins. The Jaguars get ripped often for lack of fan support but here's the 2012 home attendance averages. And this is with Miami having a decent 7-8 team and the Jags having a joke of a team at 2-13.

Jacksonville Jaguars - 64,984 (97% of seats)
Miami Dolphins - 57,379 (76% of seats)

I would say post Colt McCoy era, rather than post Vince Young.

They didn't win a NC with Colt, but they were right there, Texas fans still believe if Colt hadn't been injured they would have had a shot, and lots of people believe Texas should have been in the NC game the year the Big 12 had that freaky three-way situation.

Finally the good bowl games are about to start. It seems like a quiet bowl season so far. I hope my Noels show up tomorrow, and don't sleep walk though the second half like they all wise do.

I've never seen a ref make a bad call on a very obvious missed FG until this game. Fortunately college does reviews on FGs.

I've only seen him in this GT game, and he's been horrible.

I haven't seen too much of the GT game but he is pretty talented. Actually there's a ton of talent on this USC team, they're just not playing well. Lane Kiffin just isn't much of a head coach.
