Default Kitty cornered set up bad?

I've heard that kitty cornering your home theater is horrible for the sound of the system. Anyone else heard this? Any facts to back it up besides hearing it for yourself?

It isnít bad, itís just very difficult for speaker placement, even the surrounds would be hard to place properly.

Trying to avoid it if possible. My two front speakers are pretty big and look awkward. Wouldnt the overall sound be off by that arrangement too?
