Don't know many people who don't like SF. Used to have a dealer around the corner, but he closed his shop after more than 25yrs in business.

The original plan was to do 2 seperate systems. I was going to do monitor audio rx series or b&w cm9s for home theater. I was planning to do some nice bookies and a rel sub for 2 channel with a nice integrated. Wife scrapped that and told me to build one system. I enjoy HT so not having one was not really an option for me.

They are some awesome speakers. I didn't choose them because I needed a double duty speaker and sonus faber speaker line does not really have any wall mountable surrounds and their centers are not their strong point in my opinion. I was also worried about the laid back sound of them not being dynamic enough for HT.

Revel's a stop gap? I doubt I'll ever read that again! Hahaha!

Hi Pat - If it weren't for the fact I somehow had some Karma sent my way the only upgrade would have been the Ortofon cartridge. I didn't do any upgrades for close to two years. Which out of the 2 headphones do you like better?

Yep I know John, oh I decided to make the best of it. As for the phones, didn't receive the Jaycar's yet, but they were alreay in CA this morning (from Sydney) and should be here by next Wednesday. At the price thse are available from jaycar ($88.50 CDN, $75 US, shipped) and they are the same as the Brainwavz at usually $140, and the FA at $200, and at those prices, they are considered excellent buys.

Will do a little review after using them for a bit.

Ok folks! This is your last chance to participate and vote as the poll will be closed this afternoon at 1:46PM. The thread itself will be closed in a few days, and I will start a new one for 2013 tomorrow!

Looking forward to it! Just don't forget the option to let us see how people vote (a public poll?)!
