They went on sale xmas day for $80 so I got 2 for $160 shipped to my door (no taxes or shipping)
I see it states to break them in for 50hrs but my initial out of the box impressions are good for the pair, I already like them better than my sub12. I don't know what it was but in 2 different houses I could never get the sub12 to sound decent, maybe because i'm running a pair now but for the price these little subs kick ass. Build quality on them seems pretty good too, they are very solid. They seem like a heck of a lot of bang for the buck at $80. What are your guys thoughts on 2 smaller subs vs 1 larger one? Anyways, just wanted to share a positive experience with these subs so far in case anyone else was considering them

Duals will give you more even sound distribution, but a larger sub will dig deeper. It depends upon what you're looking for essentially. One things for sure, those are a steal at $80 a pop.

Your always better off going with dual subs, instead one gigantic expensive subwoofer.
Smoother bass response, is only one of the many benefits of running multiple subs.

Where did you find them at that price? I would buy them and I don't even need any subs at the moment.

Dr. Floyd Toole has been an invaluable asset to the sound reproduction industry and has devoted a great amount of his life to understanding how sound propagates in a home environment*. Todd Welti did a lot of experimentation with subwoofer placement, numbers, and bass sound quality. The resulting whitepaper on the topic was a culmination of countless tests and acoustical models of playing with multiple subwoofers in different locations in a room to improve bass response over a much wider listening area. In the end, Dr. Toole and Todd Welti concluded that the most ideal scenario for bass reproduction is to have one subwoofer located at the midpoint of all four walls. This configuration displayed the least amount of variation in bass response from seat to seat. Alternately, four subwoofers can be used in each corner. ![]() ALWAYS buy subs in pairs.

Is it bad to split the sub out signal that many times? for example since I have a single sub out on my receiver id have to either find a quad splitter or use a few dual splitters, is that hurting the signal much?
