I'm not saying those quick, shoddy conversion...but, if done right, those old 2D movies have the potential to make great conversion.

Plus, it's not like all the new 3D movies have great 3D quality!!!

That would have been fantastic looking in 3D

Still wouldn't have made up for how utterly terrible the film is....

Yea, it was a very strange movie... but, at least I did not find it as boring as other movies. Even 300 made me go to sleep.

I think Run Lola Run would make a great 3D movie. I have a feeling that if today's 3D technology had been around when Tom Tykwer filmed it, he'd have jumped at the chance to use it in at least some scenes, and would probably have played with changing depth and pop-out to emphasize parts of the story... he used every other cinematic trick in the book to great effect.

The Cell would have been nice in 3D as well. I'm not a huge fan of the story, but it's a gorgeous film, and would have been eye-popping with dimension added. Similarly with Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Dark City, the original Clash of the Titans,

It may be sacrilegious to state this, but I would love to see 3D conversions of a lot of the classics. Citizen Kane, 2001, King Kong, Battleship Potemkin, Nosferatu, etc. I remember seeing 3D-ized stills from King Kong done by Ray Zone back in the 80s, which were really well done. I can only imagine the howls of protest if these ever happened, though.
Formats currently playable in media set-up: Blu Ray 3D, Blu Ray, DVD, Video CD, Laserdisc, Laseractive, CD Video, CED, VHD, 3D VHD, Betamax, CD, CD+G, audio cassette, vinyl, Atari 2600, Commodore 64/128. No VHS!

Considering most of the conversions done last were infinitely better than anything filmed natively, I think y'all should stop with the conversion bashing now

I think Starship Troopers would be good in 3D.

Just imagine:

...........well I know which I would prefer

Anyway, just revisited the original "Predator" the other day and couldnt help but thinking how it would make an awesome 3d movie (no, do NOT reboot it) Even though its a dark movie in most scenes the characters are outlined quite well so in theory the depth is kinda already there - it just needs to be emphasized in 3D!

Hmmm.."The Mummy" trilogy could work well with a 3D conversion (if done properly) So long as they dont do the "scorpion king" movies as well

Why wasn't Battleship released in 3D? There were so many opportunities for some great out of screen effects!
