Believe it's the same time frame (post count) as being able to create new threads outside of the new member forum. Don't know the exact count but it shouldn't be much longer.

EDIT: It looks like you already have your own thread in the trading forum.

I'm trying to get ahold of an admin around here. Seems many of my posts never show up, I guess they are not verified? I guess this is also why all this time I have not been able to start a new thread?

The message is a bit misleading, I thought I'd have to just wait around until eventually some moderator woke up.

You're activated, so all posts you make should be good to go. To start your own thread you'll need to make some posts elsewhere.

So you just have to have a certain post count and then the thread for that will show up?
