I used some of the CNET calibrations,but with a few of my own tweeks..here are mine and I think they look fantastic!!..I have the 55" LG LW5300,but should be about the same..

I started off with standard, and went from there.
Ended up somewhere in the middle of standard-sports.

Aspect Ratio: Just Scan
Energy Saving: Off
Picture Mode: Standard (User)
Backlight: 75
Contrast: 100
Brightness: 49
Sharpness: 70

Tint: 0
Color Temp: 0
Tru Motion: Low
LED Local Dimming: Off

Advanced Control

Clear White: Off
Skin Color: 2
Noise Reduction: Low

Black Level: Low

Notes:
I find that local dimming just dims the whole screen lol. I got better results turning it off and turning the brightness down just a notch.
Clear White: Off is key to most realistic colors, skin tones.
Skin Color, I still don't get what it does, but am happy with 2 for now.
How anyone can watch Tru-Motion higher than 4 is beyond me.

Any setting recommendations on LG 50LS4000. I have HDMI hookups and Panasonic BlueRay. I used the setup wizard but it seems like it should be a better picture. I replaced a 4 year old Samsung that I never touch the settings and it was a great picture. Trying to get it sorted out bc I am starting to get frustrated...

Hey jeep i just bought the same TV. I tried calibrating a few days ago but i realized since yesterday when reading on forum that i had to turn off trumotion cuz its actually pretty bad for the TV processor to try and add frames on the received signal and it was creating ghosting/artifacts.

I also didnt calibrate with an initial decent set up like cinema.
I have the blu ray Digital Video Essential at home and i will try to calibrate even more tomorrow. I did see a calibration set up in this here thread and all the setting options are the same as our TV but on a different model, i will try that too.

When i come up with something nice i will post back here. But i am also curious to see what settings other user of this TV are using.
