I just got a new 42' LM615, but I don't think it wants to display native 3D content. I see that there's what I think is the 2D to 3D conversion selection and the up/down and left/right selections, but when I put on a movie that has native 3D content, the last one won't highlight. I also got new HDMI cables and hooked it up to my PS3, so I can probably assume that it's the cables, even though they say that theyre 3D compatible. What say you, fellows?

It didn't seem to be doing that, the last time I checked.

You need to go to your ps3s video settings and enable the 3D. You may have to manually choose TV size, type, etc. the TV will automatically detect native 3D content. You do not push any buttons on the remote to enable it. That is only for 2d-3d conversion, or side by side and top and bottom 3D. Native 3D automatically plays in 3D.

So yeah, thanks for that. It was stupid of Sony though to have it this hidden. "I'd rather be hated for who I am than to be loved for something that I'm not." -Kurt Cobain (1967-1994) My stance on Anime...I just can't understand any of it, everyone is either a 10 year old girl or a monster.

Just got an LG 6500 LED-Passive 3D TV. Best electronic purchase I ever made. Real 3D content is simply astounding on this TV. Much better than going to the movies! TVG handles automatically all 3D formats; nothing for TV viewer to do but put on the passive (cheap), polaroid glasses and WATCH breathlessly!

MY 3D watching enjoyment has increased exponentially now that I've found a 3D online rental source :3Dblurayrentals.com. For $25.00/mo, I am able to rent up to 10 3D movies each month. Company has no queue system like Big Dogs (Netflix and Blockbuster), but mail out selected titles as promptly as they are available. Right now, 3D titles are slim, but those that are available are simply great! I cannot watch regular Blu-Rays now.
