I really hope they don't change too much as I am so used to the controllers. Have been used to these controllers since PS One.

I'm not really bothered since if it is a wii u type remote then you will only need one and DS3s will be used the rest of the time.

Maybe we'll know soon since the video said that the Ps4 announcement is possibly happening in the first half of this year.

Lightup sparkly NO. A handset that "mimmicks" a 360 gamepad hell yes. Size and weight the 360 hand held is far better than the little lady that comes with a PS3. I want to hold a gamerpad not a handbag..

I much prefer the DS3 over the Xbox gamepad. It feels more robust.

My wrists got tired after an hour or two of gaming on the CrapBox3FixMe. I've been able to game for over 24 hrs straight with the Playstation controllers. I like the lighter weight of the Playstation unit.

For me the problem was the battery pack sticking out of the back.

It was always in the way of my fingertips......ouch.

And most 360 controllers have squeaky triggers even when bought new.

Agreed. I dislike the 360 battery pack. It's bulky and awkward (and having to constantly buy new batteries / recharge isn't much joy either).

I like the triggers on the 360 controller though. They give you better grip and control, and the stick grip on the 360 are frankly superior to the Dual Shock's somewhat slippery and almost "slimy" stick texture.

Where the 360 pad falls flat on its face is the D-pad, though. Even the newer "twist" 360 controller D-pads aren't very good.

As for symmetrical sticks, I think it really depends on the sort of game you're playing. FPS games seem a bit more comfortable on the 360 controller (as I said, better triggers, and somewhat more comfortable position for thumbsticks when both are in constant use). Games that make less use of one or both sticks (Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Tekken, Devil May Cry, et. al.) and focus more on the face buttons, however, definitely feel better on the Dual Shock.

I plan to just keep my PS3 (and DreamCast) though... I'm happy with what I've got.

No sooner did I say that ... I got the YLOD and this time I think I'm not going to fix it.

I was thinking about kicking the habit....

(At least the DreamCast still works.)

The original CVG leak stated a reveal within weeks not months. So very soon.

I had really bad health issues this whole gen... it took me ages to get used to the weight of the 360 controllers, when used for long periods of time I still get that way actually.

Would be nice if the Orbis used Bluetooth again, that way we could use our old PS3 controllers as well, would be a nice option of they did decide to create something new.
