They are both great for different reasons.
The Dark Knight Rises - a bleak, thrilling crime saga that ends a brilliant and beloved trilogy brilliantly. The Avengers - A fun, entertaining superhero film that was successful not only in being the most enjoyable superhero movie ever made but also because the script is able to maneuver through the trouble with having so many characters involved. It's brilliant in a completely different way than TDKR. Both 9/10 films for me. |

I didn't roll my eyes/laugh out loud at The Avengers nearly as much as I did during The Dark Knight Rises.

Me either. I thought most people were extremely let down by TDKR.

The poll asks who we think is a better movie, people vote for who they think is the better movie. How is that not to be expected, because we're not voting for the one you think is the better movie?

the final fight at the end with everyone going nuts in the city made The Avengers, if not for that scene, i probably wouldnt like the movie..... I think Dark Knight is a better made movie...but is by far my least favorite of the trilogy...

I like them both pretty well, but The Avengers gets my vote. Honestly, I haven't had that much fun at the theater in a long time. Everything seemed to gel just right.
TDKR was fine and I own the steelbook, but at times it drags and seemes a bit on the draining side. Plus, I just felt the villan's plan was more like an amped up version of something The Joker already did, or heck, even what the League of Shadows did in BB. And a lot of the stuff in TDKR didn't make much sense eaither. I'm sure there's some stuff in The Avengers that didn't make sense, but honestly the movie was so good I didn't notice. |

I don't get what you don't understand. I thought he explained himself quite well.

Not really. He says he likes them both pretty well and then in the next paragraph tears down TDKR by saying it drags, doesn't make much sense, etc and then the next paragraph says The Avengers doesn't make much sense either but it was good I didn't notice. So he likes both but one doesn't make sense and drags but it's ok if the other doesn't make sense. That's pretty confusing and makes little sense. But good for you if it makes sense to you I guess.
