Just convinced Vanns to sell me their last C2 in rosewood for $599!!! And they won't be getting anymore in. Salesperson said they are getting in what he believes to be the very last batch of 15's and 28's there are.....

I'm surprised that they are getting any more period, given their amount of debt owed to Klipsch and their bankruptcy filing. Back in September they owed Klipsch 600K.

I guess I missed that Vann's was purchased in Nov and no longer in bankruptcy. The purchase must have squared up their unsecured debt.

I have someone over on avs to thank for my good luck. He posted on 1/18 that he scored the C2 for $599, when I called them they said the best they could do was $799, until I mentioned the sale at $599. They looked it up and gave it to me for the same price!!!!

I thought Crutchfield is the main seller of Mirage OMD Line now. They have the OMDR sides in stock for 499 each (While Vanns have not had The OMDR's for over 6 months.)

Miragespeakers.com still list them (Crutchfield) as the authorized dealer for the OMD series. we'll have to see if Vanns indeed gets some 15's and 28's back in stock. They were suppose to have had 28's being built for them and maybe they are back in production. Only time will tell.

Crutchfield is a bit pricy on the OMD'S compared to Vanns in the old days....

i will be playing lcr when I get the 3rd one on Monday.
I am very happy with them right now in 2.0, happier than I was with the

15's. Better mid-range, smoother highs, tighter bass. Not lower, but tighter.
Better build, higher quality parts. I think it is a better speaker.

I went the tri amp route with my 28's (with the EMO's). I love them since they are well fed!

I am right in the market to buy monoblock to feed my OMD 28, would you
please tell me how is your experience with your emotiva monoblock ??

I think they are XPA-1 but i am not sure, and do you recommand them ?

I never thought that the C2 would work as a nice monitor speaker....

Now that I have no space for any floor standing speakers,there are no C2's on the market,especially for 600$//piece,I would like to make a 2.0 system with them...
one on the e-bay for 1450$....

fortunately,no money too..... for the time being....

I am running my 28's with 2 XPA-1's it is just wonderful, the Emo amps are awesome, great quality and value.

Price/Quality ratio for the XPA-1, but now they hae 2 new redesigned monoblock XPR-1 but much more pricy. i wonder if is realy worth it or not.

The new amps are really awesome, but remember you need dedicated 20 amp power for them. Read the fine print. The XPA-1's will be more than you need IMHO.

Yes you are right, but the parts inside of the XPR amp seem tobe better quality according to Emotiva, but who need 1000w/channel ??? without mentioning the 20 amp circuit to the new XPR !!

Now the way i see it i feel i reach a red line between the Mcintosh mc 452 and 2 monoblock XPR-1 by adding all the other cost that i should take in account like the canadian custom fees, and the shipment cost, and the 20 amp circuit !! with all that i am not too far from the Price of the Mcintosh MC 452.

But realistically speaking, who is going to hear the difference between .1% or even .00000001% distortion?
