Best LED 3D TV

Guys, I wanna buy a high end LED TV (46'-47') for my room.Which brand offers the best 3D and best PQ? Do I go with Passive 3D or Active 3D? PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I work in the electronics dept at walmart and by far the best brand we have seen results with is Vizio. LG would be second but man does Vizio stand out. We have the 55" LG in demo display next to a 42" Vizio and people will choose the Vizio because of the sharpness of the 3D. I am very sensitive to 3D and thought I would have to just give up the whole idea till we put up the tv demo. It helped me decide with my 65" 3d LED Vizio which we now enjoy.

In my personal opinion I think Sony's HX750 and HX850 3D Tv's are the best with Panasonic very close behind. And if had a choice between Active and Passive 3D? I would go Active because I believe it gives a better 3D experience then Passive. But in the end its up to you.

Are you looking for an LED-lit LCD or a true, full-array LED TV? TV companies and store like to state that "this TV is LED," when in fact it is simply an LCD TV with LED's on the edges...

Glad u asked. The best one hands down is the Samsung 3D LED ES8000 model. I have the 55" one but there make it in 46", 55" and 60". The picture quality is unmatched and the detailing in the picture is surely remarkable like u are there. All my friends and family member can't believe how great this HDTV is. They especially fell in love with 3D with this HDTV. It's Samsung's top model unless u go with the ES9000 model, but that model only comes in 75" and cost at least $8,999. This is an Active 3D, which gives better 3D experience. Also, don't waste your time with a Vizio.

The good: The beautifully thin Samsung UNES8000 LED TV seems to have come from a year or two in the future. Its massive feature set includes a touch-pad remote, IR blaster, four pairs of 3D glasses, motion and voice command, and the industry's most capable Smart TV platform. Its picture quality boasts superb color accuracy along with industry-leading video processing and 3D performance.

The bad: Lighter black levels and imperfect screen uniformity hamper its picture significantly, especially for such an expensive TV. Samsung charges too much for extra features that are largely unnecessary and poorly implemented.

The bottom line: Although it hits plenty of high points, the Samsung UNES8000 LED TV cannot ultimately justify its high price.

Best full array LED/LCD tv is the Sharp Elite. They are only available in 60 and 70 inches and cost $6000-$9000 msrp. Since you are looking for full array 46-47 inch tv, Sony HX929 is your best bet. They are discontinued but some retailers still have them in stock.

Just FYI, the Sony HX929 is currently replaced by the HX950 which I believe comes in 55" and 65" models. The edge lit HX850 (which is said to be almost just as good) can be had in 46" and 55" screen sizes

Good to hear they're almost just as good. I could only fit a 46" so I went with the HX850.

I am just not seeing what people find so good about the HX850. Purchased a LM7600 last weekend which blew me away PQ wise but had the worst bleeding and clouding I have ever seen and in between going to exchange it for another I started seeing all the praise for the HX850 and ended up swapping it for that instead yesterday. But yet again I am totally hating a highly praised Sony TV. No matter what I try doing with the picture settings it is still so bland and lacking that pop and detail that the LM7600 had to me. I wouldn't even say it is better than my old Regza I am replacing since it is showing signs of dying. I just don't get it at all. I have never seen a Sony TV that has impressed me even slightly.

So needless to say the HX850 is going back and I am going back to the lottery of a LM7600 with at least acceptable bleed and clouding. The HX850 has some slight bleed on the bottom but give me even that bleed with the LC7600 and it is the TV for me by far. Obviously ideally getting one without the bleed at all would be nice since people have got them without the bleed so they are out there if you go shopping with a silver spoon up your ass

Hope you are enjoying the HX850 more than me. Obviously there is something about it and Sony TV's people do tend to like and for whatever reason they just never seem to hit the right note with me.

Did you calibrate or at least alter the settings on the HX850? Just curious

Yep I spent more than one hour last night trying to find settings I like and gave up since I was tired and thought maybe in the morning it would look better but after fiddling around for more than a hour I gave up. The LM7600 is actually the one I had barely the touched the settings for since I actually loved the picture just setting it to gaming and then putting the LED dimmer to the max setting. The Sony is clear but it just doesn't have the wow factor I found the LM7600 to have. Only thing I am not looking forward to even if I find one of the rare LM7600's without bad bleeding is that stupid remote. Will invest in a universal remote if I find a good set
