[Prepares for a bashing]

I really like the sound and look of the film but I am yet to see Drive.

Does it surpass the hype?

Why ask this here? I found it great for the first 20 minutes.Thought maybe it would be one of the all-time greats, but it just petered out into a lovestory told in a strange way for strangeness sake. Also,to me Goslings performance was substandard, but that may be the fault of the director.

But there sure are fanboys out there,so if you can pick it up cheap, you might see it differently than me.
