I agree, they are a must have for sure. I've enjoyed them so much. I watched the new Total Recall last night with them, and wow, what a blast, I can't imagine experiencing that movie in any better way without them, especially at 1 AM when everyone else is sleeping
![]() Tip: Press triangle on your PS3 during playback and find the volume control icon. Pump it up to + 4 for maximum volume level. You only have to do this one time and the setting is saved by the system. You need to do this only one time during disc playback and one time during regular playback from the harddrive. |

Yep! Just about the only thing that would make it better is being able to use two per system, simultaneously.

?Kashif?, both sets are wireless, but if you're wanting cheaper than the official headset, which I would presume you mean the $40 bluetooth, you're not going to find them here. The Pulse is $100. The Pulse Elite is $150. Both are a great value, but again, if $40 is out of your price range, look elsewhere.

I'm just wondering how these headsets do their 7.1 compared to say the Astro Mixamp? The Astro converts a Dolby Digital 5.1 signal to Dolby Headphone 7.1, but what does the Pulse Elite do?
Does it convert a 2.0 signal to 7.1? Or does it do a similar thing as the Astro, just with a different technology to Dolby Headphone?

So I've had the elite since they came out in october. I just seen the other day that they are cracked by the ear piece on both sides. I don't know why. I don't throw them around. I wear them to my comfort. Hopefully sony will send me a new pair.

I would say no. I have both. The elite have a crack on both sides where it's holding the ear piece. Plus the bass booster sucks. If they were blu tooth capable I would say yes. But they aren't.

What is the battery life? I was wearing my Turtle Beach XP400 for 13 hours today, with the Blu-tooth enabled and it still didn't need charging. I have them set up for the 5.1 Dolby decoder on my PS3, XBox360, Dish receiver and stereo for my TV. Just wonder because some day they are going to die and I will need a replacement and want to go cheaper.

Yeah, I had read an Amazon review that said the user got 10 hours with Bluetooth on and 13 with it off. I had it on. I also have it set to watch TV so I was watching TV while my wife was working so it didn't disturb her. And I have my laptop connected to my TV so I sometimes listen to music with them too, so it wasn't just 13 hours of double XP COD: Black Ops (but I think Baily was on about 20 hours yesterday playing, lol). I have a TOS switch so I can change my sound source.

Having both headsets, I would no recommend the "elite" edition. First of all the bass boost sucks. Second, I can't see a difference in sound when changing "movie, game, shooter, music etc.". And third, the elite edition already has cracks right above the ear piece. In between the headphone itself and the bass booster. I did call sony and ask if I could exchange. Basically it's my fault they said and can't exchange. It's not like I'm throwing these headphones around.
I would get the first set as they're more durable and don't have that silly bass booster. Save yourself 50 bucks and get the first edition. And hopefully by the time the ps4 comes outs, they'll have a pair that are blu tooth capable.
