Thanks John, great song and what seems like a great pressing. I hadn't heard this song in ages, still does it for me. I agree with the Portuguese Stallion, all the compression does show, but you can def make out great sound. If it weren't so complicated I'd send you a couple of studio condenser mics and a small console

Me thinks you'll have a great GTG and officially christen your setup (just no champagne bottle on the Genesis )

+ a bazillion hehe, those speakers scream for distorted guitars. At a minimum Hendrix Blues album, Hear My Train A Comin' (electric version). Since we're into request mode, any chance you have some of the man Joe Jackson, Look Sharp! or Stepping Out? I know he's on vinyl and he's up there on the list for quality production.

Yeah a little more accoustic treatment would certainly help John As you know but all in all bigger speakers are made for bigger rooms, you should have some Arros in there

I don't doubt that at all, I've read fine reviews on the vinyls of this, but even the CD makes any system sound real good, and good systems sound outstanding. And I agree with you, Telegraph Road is a gem.

I find the best way to enjoy Telegraph Road is lights out, volume up (and the neighbours be damned)!

Amen to that, the volume always goes up for it, it's just a natural reaction. I'm a '70s hard rock, prog and blues lover (I've played guitar for a while and this is my music) and I can honestly say telegraph Road is up there with the comfortably numbs of the era. Obviously not as impact full as The Wall is a major achievement, but on an emotional side it's there.

I just read your review of TftTM, good read, and loved the video linked. The process is so full of chances of screwing up compared to digital, but these masters do it like it was nothing. I wonder how many of these specialists exist in the world

When you say Legacy, do you mean on the Sony Legacy label?
