Hadn't seen this in years. A beautiful and sobering look at an impulsive teenage relationship. Not quite up there with Bergman's best but still superb.

Watched: the Castle (of course for Australia Day)

Bloody great film, always find myself coming back to it every now and then. The picture was decent for the age and budget of the film but it certainly had a lot of film grain, hardly a clean film but a huge overhaul compared to the DVD. The sound like the picture was much improved and since to mainly the fronts in actions (very vocal orientated), the surrounds were hardly used.

I did plan to watch many more films this extended weekend up unfortunately I've become quite ill. I think drinking a bottle of Jim Beam and falling asleep in the spa for many hours did it to me
WTB:
Standard Blu's: Finding Nemo (non 3D with slip), same for Brave. Cars 2 3D with all discs. Disney 3D releases (G-Force, Chicken Run, Little and Meet the Robinsons etc.). Beauty and the Beast Xmas with slip.

I saw the Cyclone off the coast of the Sunshine Coast, I really wish for rain here. It's not hot, I just really like bad storms

We're OK. Not the seriously bad stuff here though the suburb next to us has some major flooding. Nothing like QLD though - we've got some friends up there and they are in serious trouble. They've been evacuated and they know their house will have flooded badly.
