I got a $25 Best Buy gift card for my Birthday from my Brother. With shipping, it only cost my $2. So I'm pretty happy to finally have this one in my BD collection. Picture quality is superb and it's great to be able to view this one in such a great presentation. I was also super stoked to finally get to watch the documentary, "Abbott and Costello Meet the Monsters" on here. Been wanting to watch that for a while now. Hopefully soon I can order Volume Four of their collection, then I'll have most of their stuff.

This is a great Blu-ray!
I watched Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein late last night to chase down my Criterion of Terrence Malick's Badlands. A strange double-feature night, I know, but it worked. I purchased this Blu-ray/DVD combo pack months before I even owned a Blu-ray player, because I had longed to revisit this movie since childhood. I enjoyed going through the DVD disc back in 2012, but the Blu-ray presentation is a solid step-up. I love how Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein is one of the funniest movies ever, but it still treats the Universal Monsters with the utmost dignity and grace. |

Why does this cost so much ? with shipping you can't get this under $20 . I mean it's worth it .. but my 6 movie collection on dvd from Abbott and Costello less . I can't see buying this when a bluray set will probably be coming out soon . With more goodies . The Universal monsters come out to 10 dollars a Blu-ray , and if you bought the UK set there about $4.50 a movie. List price of $26.98 is just way too much for this . And the dvd and digital copy that comes with are useless . Give me the Blu-ray only and add some more movies .

Excellent blu, excellent extras.
"If we're about to die anyways, I'd rather die fighting! Come for me Gmork, I am Atreyu!"
"And use some of that cologne Gertrude got you for Christmas." "Oh do I have to Mother, it smells like ether?" "With pleasure." |

I just ordered it since I had a $10 promotional coupon for my next order and I have a couple hundred in credit. If I don't buy it now I wont ever get it. It said that they only has seven available to ship at the moment, and only six now that I ordered. It's not OOP or anything, but still, if you want it soon I wouldn't wait too long on this one.
I'll report back on Saturday on if mine comes with a slip or not. |
