This will no undoubtedly show off my age, but there was a time when...

For those who've never experienced a midnight showing filled with diehards this has to be experienced at least once in a lifetime.

Tombstone from '93, Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday, best ever Doc Holiday

For anyone wondering about what was actually said between Doc Holiday and Johnny Ringo at the faro table when they were speaking in Latin, I found this at IMDB:

Doc Holliday: In vino veritas.
["In wine is truth" meaning: "When I'm drinking, I speak my mind"]
Johnny Ringo: Age quod agis.
["Do what you do" meaning: "Do what you do best"]
Doc Holliday: Credat Judaeus apella, non ego.
["The Jew Apella may believe it, not I" meaning: "I don't believe drinking is what I do best."]
Johnny Ringo: [pats his gun] Eventus stultorum magister.
["Events are the teachers of fools" meaning: "Fools have to learn by experience"]
Doc Holliday: [gives a Cheshire cat smile] In pace requiescat.
["Rest in peace" meaning: "It's your funeral!"]
THANK YOU!!! . I always wondered exactly what they were saying. I always go the jist of it, but I wanted specifics

It's one of my all-time favorites. I can't even count the number of times I've seen it and I used to watch with a friend, every weekend (literally) for several months, rattling off lines of the film together. I'm a bit rusty now--I admit, and doubt I'd be able to keep up with certain scenes/lines but the rest? Still pretty easy to recall, :P
