Tigermoth, from the sound of it, did Painted II have weak 3D? That one looks interesting for martial arts from what I glanced.

The 3D for Hansel Gretel was mostly enjoyable IMO, fun movie even if the plot is very basic.

I wouldn't say Painted Skin II had weak 3D in terms of separation on layers. It was just all really poorly cut out ect. I don't think I have ever seen so many cut out errors, bad fill in, poor placement of layers, and flat layers ever in a conversion.

Thanks Paul. That was the theatrical poster and looks cool. I really hope they stay with that art work. Simple but effective and hints at what is in store in the movie. This one has some really nice action.

I think the uncut version will be the 2D disc, theatrical being 3D.

what's it mean by "limited".. i noticed on avatar it also said limited but it's still available to buy a long time later.
is there any reason they put limited on it?

It starts tomorrow in Australia, looking forward to this. It looks like Hawk from Avengers which should be cool, and I like the reviews from here, so I may just go tomorrow.

Studios use words like "limited" to get people to buy the product for fear that they will stop producing it so they better buy it soon. Thor and Captain America are also 3d "limited" editions just like Avatar and they are still being produced as well, and have been out longer. The only thing thats really limited about these are that they don't keep as many of the 3D editions in stock at the store as the regular 2D versions.

Also kind of like when Disney says "Limited Time only" and then puts it back into the vault, in that eventually they'll stop producing more if the sales get sluggish. Then when it's hard to find, interest peaks again. Thankfully though, the Limited editions are still being sold in stores.

Sookymonster, were you able to check this one out in 3D?

It took in 200 million plus world wide, sparking a sequel in development according to:

Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters 3D set for May 21, 2013 digitally, Blu Ray 3D release date June 11th, 2013. Nice 3D for the most part, great action in a horror setting.

Made $211 million worldwide at theaters, which is also similar to how Resident Evil series does well enough each year to crank out a new sequel, thanks to the rest of the world, as the US box office is limited for niche action horror films.

I really hope they keep that poster for the cover art.
