I have some Olive Garden gift certificates. It didn't take long to find someone with a truck that was willing for a free dinner. Going this afternoon!

Best Buy advised me like 3x not to lay it down, as they're far more susceptible to the screens breaking and cracking.. I had someone with a truck come, and strapped it standing up.

The retailer doesn't offer free delivery? and if not, ask how much extra it'll cost to deliver it. I know, most online store have free shipping.

actually it's the exact opposite. you want the glass facing DOWN... that way the back of the tv acts at a curve and supports the glass a bit more. with the glass facing up the slightest bump can cause that glass to crack with minimal downward pressure.

Glass should be up on a plasma. The weight from the pressure of the gas can push on the glass and crack it if facing down.

Dude, BB offers free shipping. Mute point now, but something to help others in the future.
Do you really have something to say or are you just in love with the sound of your keyboard?
