I have been a fan of his for some time and read his Batman work in chunks here and there. I was mainly saying that to absorb it in large pieces brings things in a bit more full circle. With All-Star Superman, I've seen the film many times and have flipped through the book. His Action run is one of the few New 52 books I've cared to keep up with. I'm also preparing to dig into his JLA run soon.

It is one of only 3 DC books that does. Batman, Green Lantern, and i Believe Justice League. But they add a dollar to the cost, so each book ends up costing $4.99. None of the stores by me even order the edition that comes with the code.

If anyone is reading The New 52, Batman & Robin and Red Hood & The Outlaws are two of my favorite books. Absolutely fantastic so far.

I dug B&R but couldn't for the life of me get into Red Hood, outside of anything involving Jason. His flashback stuff is great. But my interest in the New 52 in general has waned. The ten years prior of intense story-telling and creative retconning was pretty much tossed out the window for inferior work. Once Morrison's run on Action and Batman Inc is up (I'll tune back in for Multiversity in a year's time) and Snyder's Batman, that's pretty much it for me on Bat/Supes books going forward (at least until the Snyder/Lee project hits). I enjoyed Winick's work on Catwoman and Batwing and was sad to see him leave. Still reading Earth 2, but it's losing steam. Not much else has held my attention. Johns has completely jumped the shark and has become a pretty pale comparison of what he was doing only a few years back.

I agree with Geoff Johns losing some of his steam on some of his newer stuff. I can agre JL hasn't been the strongest title, especially with Lee off of it now, but his Aquaman run so far has been nothing short of epic. He really has turned that character around, so I'm curious how he'll do with Vibe and JLA next year.

I also can't wait for Multiversity. While I've enjoyed his run on Action and Batman Inc (post new 52), I'm starting to get tired of him. I absolutely love All Star Superman and everything he did Batman-related before the new 52.

I recommend Dial H if you haven't been reading that one. Very cool book, not not really a "tights and capes" type of book

black mirror is one of the greats. it really makes me with jock would just come back and do the art for the rest of synders run. i like capillo or however you spell it, i just dont think their styles mesh very well.

as nice as the current death of the family story is it just cant compare to what morrison did with joker in batman and robin (and to a lesser extent RIP).

speaking of morrison. i saw the absolute batman and robin in the comic shop the other day and was seriously tempted to spend 100 bones on a hardcover for the first time.

while i really want to get it i will most likely wait. i tried to find some info on what kind of extras are in the absolute edition and couldnt find out if it was anything new.

read the birth of the demon arc not too bad but I also tried reading Batman Incorporated and found that to be the worst Batman story and one of the worst comic/ graphic novels I have ever read. Just awful awful awful

That's because you're jumping into the end of a seven year arc.
Morrison's run should be read in this order:

*Black Glove: The Deluxe Edition (includes Batman & Son + Black Glove TPB)
*Batman: R.I.P.
*Batman & Robin vol 1: Batman Reborn
*Batman & Robin vol 2: Batman vs. Robin
*Batman: Time and the Batman
*Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne
*Batman Incorporated
*Batman Incorporated: Demon Star (available May)

He is finishing up his run in the "Batman Inc" title over the next few months, which will close out his entire epic. It can be daunting and difficult to follow if you jump in at the wrong point, but if you read at least these stories in that order (Final Crisis, for example, fits in there but is probably better left for a second or third read through, as it's dense as hell), you'll have a much better understanding and appreciation for it.

For New 52 fans, I'm thinking about adding Nightwing to my pull list. Currently I have:

Batman
Detective Comics
Batman: The Dark Knight
Batman and...
Batman Inc.
Batgirl
Batwing

I also get Legends of the Dark Knight. What are some thoughts on the possibility of adding Nightwing, is it necessary?

In my opinion you should add Batwoman instead.
