Default Wireless headset suggestions?

Hey guys, I'm looking at either Turtle Beach's X42 or PDP's Universal Afterglow wireless headsets. While I like the price of the Afterglow, I'm not liking that I have to plug it into my controller. That is something I'm actually looking to eliminate since I'm getting them to keep my son from breaking the cords. I'm also looking for something I can game with or occasionally watch a movie through my BD or FP. So if anyone has any suggestions can you let me asap. Appreciate the assistance.
Do you really have something to say or are you just in love with the sound of your keyboard?

The X42 plug into the controller as well.

There's only a few that I know of for Xbox that are full wireless. I have the Turtle Beach Tangos and I love them. They are full wireless as well as the Turtle Beach XP400, XP500 and the Triton Warheads. They Tangos are $300 but I saw them at BBY recently for $200. The Tritions are $300, and the XP400 and XP500 are $220 I believe.

Thanks, I'm actually thinking I'm going to go with this one from Microsoft. Spending close to what a console cost just seems like overkill, especially since it feels like a lot of work trying to find one that I can also use to listen to my tv. If the cost was closer to $100 and delivered these things I'd be ok with the cost, but at the high cost it needs to be more versatile. With the money I'm saving I can get a nice pair of wireless Sennheiser for my night time viewing.

So did end up buying that 360 wireless head piece and have it synched up to my downstairs console(don't know how I accomplished that?), but can I also have it synched up to another console? I'm curious since I have one upstairs and the other downstairs.

Nevermind, I see that I can only have it assigned to one console at a time. Apparently if I sync it upstairs I'll have to do it again the next time I use it downstairs. For that much trouble I'll use my head set upstairs for now. So far so good, but I'm wondering if my computer is causing a little cutting out of the ear piece. Was listening to music earlier and it kept cutting out

I picked up the Turtle Ear Force X41 when it was on sale the other day for $54.99. What would be the best way to hook these up? They have an audio in so would it be possible to feed any audio to them from my receiver? I'm hoping I can use them while gaming on my HTPC as well.

I haven't received them yet so forgive the ignorant questions, just planning ahead.

Edit: Reading into it a little bit it looks as if any source should work so I'm hoping I can somehow send the signal from my receiver directly to these and just turn them on if I need to use them. Gonna have to play with them.
Main HT
Speakers: Polk Audio CS2, Monitor 70's, Monitor 30's, BIC F12 12" Sub
Receiver: Onkyo TX-NR809
TV: 47" Vizio 120hz 1080p SV470XVT
HTPC: Intel Core i3-3220, 8GB DDR3 1600, 560ti 1GB, 3TB of HDD's, LG Bluray
Bluray: Pioneer BDP-150
Gaming: HTPC, Xbox 360, Wii
Other: Xfinity X1, Sennheiser RS170, Turtle Beach X41 7.1 Headset, Roku 3

Ended up taking back the wireless ear piece tonight. It worked just fine, but was killing my ear and half the time I kept asking if anyone could hear me? Back to square one for the moment and possible picking up the Afterglow or Turtle Beach headsets.

OK, back on this again and would appreciate any input. It looks like if I truly want wireless I have to go with the Tritton Warhead 7.1? Of course my wife and I are kind of pissing our pants on the price tag. My practical wife the most. Right now I'm using dreamGear headset. Bought a couple of these the other day for $20. Opened up one of them and debating on if I should just stick with these? So I'm wondering if anyone has them or another (Less expensive) suggestion or am I'm just wasting my money?
