It's coming out. 2014 is the 20th.

It was in a Warner 2013 tentative release schedule. It was also mentioned on the Digitalbits last year. It also had The Fugitive anniversary digibook on that list.

personally i think the director's cut should be the primary version released. I feel it should be illegal to alter the cut at any stage which would eliminate such a thing as theatrical version.

If the movie sucks we then know to blame the director and not some random suit or even worse the totalitarian lunacy of the MPAA (which should also be abolished)

I always go for director's cut. in the event i dont like the directors cut i opt to not even own the movie.

PAYBACK - UK has both Theatrical and the Director's Cut.
Dances with Wolves - UK obviously has Theatrical Cut but I dunno which release I'd put the OST CD with though.

This is a great idea especially for people who import and also want to get the DVDs of movies which still have the alternate cut. For custom sets of course.

No, he is right, you were wrong. He said that the extended cut was only available on blu. It is. You can't get the theatrical cut on dvd.

Sure the one disc version is the theatrical release only, but that's not what he was talking about. He was simply stating that you can not get the extended version on dvd.

Bad edits KILL a great movie dead.
Bad jump-cuts KILL action/fight scenes... Looking at you Nolan Batman Begins and Dark Knight

He/She is saying that the Extended Cut is NOT available on DVD.
Same goes for Green Lantern.

The theatrical cut is available in Poland and some other countries I think. Plus the Italian version is an extra extended cut with 5 minutes added to the ordinary U.S. Fox release. So there are three cuts in all of this movie, all available on blu but in various countries.

+1 on that! I remember a lot of us watching the theatrical cut and thinking "hmmm not bad, could have been better, felt too rushed...".

Then I saw the DC...no comparison whatsoever and a far better film.
