We spent the weekend going through every feature on the disc. There is a lot of content, especially when you consider testing everything in 2D and 3D mode. Some content has both SD and HD versions. For audio you have TrueHD, DTS-HD MA, 5.1, and 7.1 versions.

Everything has been muxed. Hopefully we have identified all of the bugs. At this point we have tested on an OPPO 103, PS3, and Panasonic DMP-BDT320. We need to try and cover some more players this week.

Any issues found that need to be addressed so far that would cause any edits to the authoring?

Part of the agreement was that we did the QC. This is the first full author we got to test and we found some bugs that should be addressed. Hopefully the bugs can be fixed and a new build turned around when ready.

I will post again when we get the next build of the disc. Hopefully today I can start trying on a larger variety of players.

Are these bugs going to slow down the release, or is this still set to be released next month?

Replication takes 4-6 weeks once they have a final disc from us. That time should include getting a check disc to test as well as packing the discs and shrink wrapping them. Might be another week to ship.

I would guestimate that we are in April now.

No cost details yet. Don't know how much the new booklet will cost and if we will include a bonus DVD. It will be similar to the 1st edition is all I can say for now.

Just an update, I will have a new disc to test on Monday.

Received the new disc today. Only spent a few minutes testing before I went to work. So far, it looks like most bugs are fixed. I will get it all tested this evening.

With any luck, it will be ready to go to replicator next week. April is looking good at this point.

Trying to work through the errors reported by the verifier. Several of them do not appear to be real errors. It is complaining that the bitrate is >64 Mbps, when it is really < 1 Mbps.

We did sign off on the DVD.

Since this'll be my first purchase of one of your discs, does it include patterns for use with software like CalMan?

CalMAN will need to do work to integrate support of the disc into its product.

We found one regression that must be fixed as well as a few new bugs. There will be at least one more build, hopefully we have it this week. We are so close!
