Default getting a soundbar

ok guys, been looking for a soundbar for the bedroom TV... I have an LG 55LM4600 and of course the audio is pure crap... even for just basic video games and tv shows.

I have the chance to pick up a 1 year old JVC TH-BA1 soundbar for $100 on craigslist. is that a fair price or should I try to bargain him lower?

what decent soundbars are a good solid bang for your buck

I wouldn't even buy a sound bar off of Craigslist. You could end up getting a broken one or one that breaks a month from now and you'll be hitting yourself on the head for not just going to the store and getting one that comes with a warranty.

The sony one I bought at HHGregg for $250 is really nice. Samsung has a similar model for around that price. I know the higher end ones are like $500 but the $250 is nice.

I use the Sony HT-CT150 and couldn't ask for more. The sound is clear and crisp and because it has a subwoofer, it can produce nice bass. Sitting at the exact right angle, it can also sometimes actually produce a slight surround effect. This is all assuming you're fine with a sub being included in the setup, also.

Check out the new Sonos Playbar. I know it's expensive, but it is also so much more than just a soundbar. And Sonos in general is just a great company, can't say enough good things about them and their products - I own several Play 5's, a bridge, and their sub, and have been super impressed with everything, and their tech support people are top notch too. The Playbar should be available this week, I got the chance to see/hear a demo last week and was just as impressed with it as the rest of their lineup.

lol, I wish I could afford the Sonos. This is just a bedroom TV so the Sonos is about 4 x my budget

I've heard good things about the Sony soundbar.

Not sure about the hex design though...

I have this one:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Sharp+-+...&skuId=3419779

and from what I remember, it's got pretty decent sound on it. I don't remember, as I lost my speaker wire in my most recent move, so I gotta wait for my new wire to come in on my order. I paid $179 I think for mine..
TV: LG42LM6200 3DTV / Panasonic Viera TC-P50UT50
Blu Ray Player: Seiki BD 660 / Sony BDP-S590

-I swear, I'm so pissed off at my mom. As soon as she's of age, I'm putting her in a home.

I would highly highly recommend the SB 1 shown above. I absolutely love mine and the sound is crisp and brilliant in 3D mode. Setup is a breeze. The only complaint I have is the small remote but I use a harmony universal so it doesn't really bother me. IMHO dollar for dollar this is the very best sound bar you can get.

Wow, that Sonos is sweet. It's got L/C/R with 2 woofers and 1 tweeter per channel. I'm not sure if it comes with the Sonus sub for $700 though... does it?

I could make something with better speakers than the sonus soundbar, but it wouldn't be as sleek, integrated, or connected.

Looking to add a soundbar for our bedroom tv, the Vizio M3D460SR, mainly for concert blu-rays and movies. I was looking at this LG Model: NB3530A, what you alll think. I want bluetooth streaming to the soundbar that way I don't have to purchase a Jambox, I wanna stream muisc from my cellphone to the sound system for night time music.
Panasonic VIERA TC-P55UT50
Vizio M3D460SR
Sony BDP-S580
Sony BDP-S570
Xbox 360- 250GB Slim--The only gaming console that matters!!!
