Tron Legacy is one of the best experiences I've ever had on 3D Blu-Ray, its an absolute must have if you have a 3D setup.

ST4 is still my least liked of the movies, but it needs to be watched as it's still part of the "Kirk Legacy".

was never as impressed with ST4 as others seemed to be. i liked it but i never saw it as the best of the original 6 movies like so many others. Came across as a little too preachy for me.

last ordered - Lost Girl season 1. good Canadian show with perks.
bought(in store) - some UFO thing for $5 and a western series that i am taking back.

I think part of it's draw is its appeal to the average theatre-goer. They didn't have to know much about the Star Trek Universe to enjoy the picture. It was a lot more light-hearted than the previous films.

I actually bought quite a few DVD's recently. I don't mind buying DVD's occasionally since I always pay under $5 for them. I only buy them if they're not already released on Blu-ray or there's a specific reason that makes it worth purchasing.

If there's a specific reason for the purchase of the DVD, I'll state it. If not, it's just unreleased and I'm an impatient consumer and I'm okay with that because I'm only spending $2-$5 each

-Starman (contains special features exclusive to Region 2/4 that aren't on the BD release including the audio commentary with John Carpenter and Jeff Bridges and the music video for "All I have to do is Dream" that brought feelings out in me I've never felt before. A new, lower, painful level of depression, an intense feeling of general discomfort and a sore stomach from laughing so hard.)

-Vinyan (the UK BD is cropped and contains no special features and while the German release is in the OAR and contains the 50 minute documentary missing from the awful UK release, said doco is not subtitled in English, only German. The DVD comes with the OAR and the doco with english subtitles)

-Storm of the Century

-Dogville

-Witness

-The Last Man on Earth (Not a reason for buying the DVD but... My god... This has got to be the worst looking DVD I've ever watched. It's worse than VHS quality and made me want to claw my eyes out. Brilliant film but I didn't make it very far through the DVD before having to turn it off and I took it back for a refund in full of $2.50 )

-Dead Mans Shoes (Again, special features. The UK blu-ray, for whatever reason, comes with absolutely none of the special features on the DVD which seems to of come out at the same time and is definitely from the same studio. I don't understand it, but it annoyed the hell out of me and I just had to get the dvd to listen to the audio commentary in particular. I love the movie so I didn't mind buying the dvd but it all should've been included on the BD)

Bad Boys

I didn't enjoy it as I usually do (apart from Téa Leoni), I found all the shouting between Will Smith and Martin Lawrence extremely annoying for some reason and adding Joey Pants in as well tripled the earache!

I might wait a while before watching Bad Boy II!

Ordered: Brother Bear. Haven't seen it before and since the BD is coming out in April I thought Id give it a go as I'd prefer not shell out on a blind buy.
Plus, it's not like my main reason for buying it was that i was really in the mood for buying a cheap dvd for the DMR points...
