Yes you can. Harmony Remotes can pretty much run anything. It will even have icons for all the buttons on the controller. I currently have the One, but thinking about moving it to the living room and putting a 1100 in the HT room.

Well this sucks, I wonder if support is just going to drop completely or whoever buys up the brand will keep the software alive.

Having a Harmony really is a staple for any home theater enthusiast.

Logitech has posted its financial results for Q3 of its 2013 fiscal year, and they're not too encouraging: the company made an operating loss of $180 million off sales of $615 million. Retail sales were down 14 percent year on year, and CEO Bracken Darrell has announced plans to take "decisive action" on the "unacceptable" results. And he's not kidding — the company has "initiated the process" to divest itself of its Harmony remote control division, along with its security video camera business.

By the end of this year, Logitech also plans to have discontinued "non-strategic products" including video game console peripherals and speaker docks. Darrell says the strategy is for the company to focus on PC-related products and maximize profitability. The news isn't entirely bad, though, with Darrell buoyed by "continued strong demand" for the Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for iPad.

Why would people go out and buy more of these now? The server that allows the update software to work is going to have less support than it does now.

Harmony provided my first universal remote experience & it has worked very well in both my systems. Hopefully it survives. Guess I'll have to come up with another solution if anything ever happens to one of my Harmony Ones.

The Harmony Touch button layout is terrible. Having the most used buttons at the top is awkward, plus not having a skip ahead or back button was a very bad decision. I love my One and it will be a tragedy if/when it fails.

I was thinking of buying the Logitech 1100 but now after hearing this news, I have halted the search for a good deal. I am now thinking of going to something like irule for the ipad.

I was a little concerned but if support does go down, then I will move to an ipad app like irule.

works fine with me. I never owned the one. I had a 720 remote.

I have it all programmed, but it won't talk to my boxee tv. It's real weird, even though I "taught" the signals. Oh well, back to the drawing board of one remote to rule them all.

I tested and the code made the Touch drop $50 from $249 to $199 but I don't like the touch. I own the 1100 and the 650. Maybe if the One was still there.

I just noticed that Amazon has the Touch for $207 which makes Harmony's code pricing not that great. Best Buy has the $79.00 650 remote for $59.00. Once again, the code pricing is not that great.

Looks like that's the case, but, to me, aside from what I assume is updated software at least, it looks like a Very Similar design to the H-One.

Is there a way to de-calculate a remote so it's no longer in unison with the tv and cable box?

I have a Comcast HD box with remote with home theater. I have it setup so when I press the power on the comcast remote that both the cable box and HT turn at the sametime. I was wondering how to remove that so I turn on the cable box with the remote and only the cable box turns on. I don't want the cable box remote turning on the tv or anything else. I can't get the Comcast remote to unlock the code that was put in.

Reason for this is I have a lot of electronics and I do NOT want them all powered up at the sametime due to surge issues, it's a lot of stress on my circuit with a lot of watts on my circuit. I rather turn on each electronic device one at a time even if it's a little bit of an inconvienience.

my suggestion would be to search the comcast site or their forums (if they have them) and see if there is some information there.

i did find the comcast remotes page where you can download the manuals for each type of remote they have. it's possible you can find out how to do what you need in the appropriate manual.
