Sparked it up, threw in Prometheus and was blown away at how good it looked. I was a bit leery having been a Plasma person, but I'm very happy with it.

The HX850 is a great tv and about the light bleed? That sometimes is common with LED tv's. How bad is it? If you can live with it thats cool.

Apparently there's a menu setting (forget the name right now) that allows you to control how much edge lighting there is. I turned it on the lowest setting and it helped - and obviously it's only noticeable at all in a dark room.

Does the 32" W650 have 3D and if so....is it passive or active? Specs says it has 3D surround sound so Im assuming it does have 3D but I don't see anything to confirm this on the link.

In my opinion Sony's 2012 HDTV lineup was one of their best and I am gonna be interested to see how their 2013 lineup does. I have no love for the design of their new sets because some of them look like Samsung designs. Sony needs them to do well along with their new 4K sets because Sony has been taking a beating as far as sales goes. Gonna be an interesting year for Sony.

Sony has announced that they are going to de-emphasize consumer TV and the 2013 line already reflects that, with fewer models than they've released in many years and far fewer models than either Samsung or Panasonic. Since Sony tends to price higher than Samsung and the mass market buys on price, they're probably going to continue to take a beating, although that might actually lead to lower losses.

I have nothing against Sony, being an owner of the HX929, which I think is a great set, but the market doesn't look good for them.

I will definitly keep my Sony BRAVIA XBR-65HX929 3D Led TV full-array local dimming backlight !!!

Don't like the 2013 design and I think that this 2013's Sony line is a step back from 2011/2012 Tv sets lines.

Well if they are scaleing back then that may help some what. I think what is happening to Sony is they are coming out with new Tech to fast and to soon like 4K. I agree the market dont look very good for them right now.

While I don't agree with the direction Sony's 2013 model line is going, it's a shame that they are taking a beating sales wise. They produce some of the best LCDs on the market. I'm particularly impressed most by the HX850 considering that it is edge lit.

Wasn't impressed at all with W802a (Well I liked aspects of it but the black levels in particular killed it for me on top of clouding and DSE) so I decided to give the W900 a chance instead which came in yesterday. After months of being anal about TV's (Including the HX850) and many returns later I think I have finally settled on a TV. Loving it so far. Not noticing any DSE, light bleed (The one thing that really killed the HX850 for me) or stuff like that that bothers me. Blacks, colors and PQ are fantastic. Still didn't game on it a lot but for anybody that has read some of the initial reviews popping up the input lag does indeed seem to be as impressive as the are saying. Need to pick up a 4K Master Blu-Ray to test out the wider color gamut better. My pictures won't do it justice since my camera isn't very TV picture taking friendly and my picture taking skills are below par too
