I saw the picture on another site, and they said she just walking around town out of makeup and trying to be inconspicuous. In other words, that's not a production still and not how she appears in the film.

The more I watch TASM the more I like the kid they picked to take over for Toby. I thought he set the benchmark for all spidermans, but this kid plays the role 50x better. Might watch it again

I agree with you. Andrew Garfield has Toby Maguire beat as being the best Spider-Man ever. Perhaps this has to do with because he had read the comics of Spider-Man from the time he was a child and understood the character of Peter Parker very well. He was born to play this role.

Thought the casting for MJ was a mistake from the get go. Mediocre at best actress, terrible look for the character. These pictures confirm the look part. At this point, I'm only seeing the sequel to see Dane Dehaan as Osborn.

If they try to do Civil War, they'll almost definitely be doing it without Spidey.

We'll be lucky if we ever see Sony and Disney figure out a way to get a cameo together to imply continuity, but Sony won't so easily write off their cash cow so Marvel can make use of "their" character. The only way I could see Sony agreeing to it is if they do the movie as a Marvel/Columbia co-production, but after the success of the first Avengers movie, I can't imagine Disney would be too keen on that.

I've only seen her in The Descendents but her performance was far from mediocre. She was fantastic in the film. Her sparring and chemistry with Clooney was superb.

I think she is cute but not a major league sexy girl like I would expect MJ to be after reading the comics when I was younger. The people over reacting insinuating that she is ugly need a reality check. I think they are going with a shy cutesy hipster chick take on MJ here. Young people will like it, old fan boys probably wont.
