any1 else have this tv. pretty happy with it. tried all kinds of settings. used the wow disc, but wasnt really blown away. i was always using a lowish backlight with a higer brightness. i finally tried a higer backlight (55) and lower brightness(46) and wow, everything looks better. i understand that pasive 3d tvs might be a bit softer in 2d but the changes helped drasticaly. 3d has always looked great. will post back w full settings.

Vizio SV370XVT
Based on TweakTv's settings, with some things changed around to suit my tastes better. For one, I found their backlight setting of 60 way too bright for night viewing, and it negatively impacted black levels. Their color setting of 45 was a little too saturated. After viewing CNET's settings, and messing around a little bit, I came to these settings: Picture Mode: Standard Backlight: 45 Brightness: 48 Contrast: 45 Color: 40 Tint: 0 Sharpness: 3 Advanced Settings Noise Reduction: Off MPEG NR: Off Advanced Adaptive Luma: Off Color Enhancement: Off Backlight Control: DCR Color Temperature: Normal Smooth Motion: Off Real Cinema Mode: Off |

Does anyone have the Vizio M3D420SR 42 inch 3D TV? I am curious as to what setting you are using. The ones that I have now are pretty damn good but I want to see what others are using and try them out. Just trying to get the most out of my TV. Going to be picking up the newer 32" Vizio 3D TV(for my bedroom) this weekend and cant wait to mess around with the settings on that
MY current settings: Picture mode: Custom Back Light: 90 Brightness: 50 Contrast: 70 Color: 55 Tint: 0 Sharpness: 0 Advanced settings: Color temp: Cool(this is the setting I am having trouble with cant decide on which setting the color looks best) Smooth motion: Off Real cinemamode: off Noise reduction: low Color enhancement: Normal Adaptive Luma: Medium Filmmode: auto Ambient light sensor: off Backlight control: DCR any suggestions or help thanks in advance |

Hi, I just bought the Vizio e422vle a couple days ago and I'm really satisfied with it. I messed around with the settings a bit and I came up with some really nice settings, at least for gaming on the PS3. They are as follows:
--Game Backlight: 80 Brightness: 65 Contrast: 65 Color: 60 Tint: -1 Sharpness: 12 Color Tenperature - Custom Red Gain: 135 Green Gain: 115 Blue Gain: 140 Red Offset: 130 Green Offset: 130 Blue Offset: 130 Adv. Picture Smooth Motion Effect: High (I like it, but a lot of people don't) or Off Real Cinema Mode: Smooth; Grayed out if above is Off Noise Reduction: Low MPEG NR: Low Color Enhancement: Rich Color Adaptive Luma: Strong Film mode: Auto Backlight Control: OPC Ambient Light Censor: Off These work really well for games. I haven't messed around with anything for movies or TV shows yet. If anyone has any opinions to share on e422vle, please let me know. Thank you! |

For HD tv and bluray on my E422VLE I use Mode-Movie Backlight-65 Brightness-50 Contrast-50 Color-45 Tint-0 Sharpness-2 Color Temp- Normal with RG-165 GG-129 BG-119 RO-130 GO-129 BO-126. Advanced picture I have everything off expect my backlight control is on OPC. Let me know what you think of these and if you have some improvements.
