Why the distinction? In case of North America, for all intents and purposes Panasonic = Matsushita. You make it sound like there is a difference in the panels. BTW, Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. will be renamed to Panasonic Corporation to have one global brand according to this article.
