Default Beware the Batman - Cartoon Network - on hiatus :(

Didn't see a thread for this...
Quote:
Beware the Batman incorporates Batman's core characters with a rogues gallery of new villains not previously seen in animated form. Along with backup from ex-secret agent Alfred and lethal swordstress Katana, the Dark Knight faces the twisted machinations of Gotham City's criminal underworld led by the likes of Anarky, Professor Pyg, Mister Toad and Magpie.

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, this action-packed detective thriller deftly redefines what we have come to know as a Batman show. Featuring cutting-edge CGI visuals to match the intricate twists and turns of the narrative, Batman steps out of the shadows and into the spotlight for an entirely new generation of fans.

WBA's Sam Register, Batman Beyond's Glen Murakami and Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated's Mitch Watson will serve as the show's producers. Anthony Ruivivar will star as Bruce Wayne/Batman in Beware The Batman, with Sumalee Montano as Katana, J.B. Blanc as Alfred Pennyworth, and Kurtwood Smith featured as Lt. James Gordon.

After the massacre at The Dark Knight Rises premiere, CN forced them to re-tool this cartoon to tone down the violence and remove graphically explicit guns. It's interesting in the focus on lesser-known villains, though some of the alterations to the source material is a little troubling.

Isn't "Beware the Batman" an odd title? It's not very heroic for a children's show..

After the nothing short of monstrous treatment they gave (not once, but TWICE) to Teen Titans, the only thing I ever want to do to Warner Animation is to spit in their collective faces.

The first go-around for the Teen Titans was amusing and entertaining, if a tad influenced too much by anime. The new version, Teen Titans Go!, is an abomination intended for children and nothing more.

I enjoyed the first Teen Titan series, this "new" one is unbearable to even try to watch.

I thought one of those Teen Titans shows was held in high regard? Or maybe I'm thinking of Young Justice...

The first Teen Titans is very popular with the age group that grew up on it. It's less mature than DC's other recent team series cartoons, but still pretty fun if you like the voice performances.

You are thinking of Young Justice. The show had a much more serious tone with light humor as well as excellent writing (especially towards the end of the series)

It has the same look as the CG Green Lantern series. I didn't think I would like that series, but the look grew on me and GL had a solid story. I was sorry to see it go.

IF Batman can have good storytelling like Young Justice or GL, then I'm fine with the look of it.

I've seen hand drawn flicker books more entertaining than this.

Well...the logo looks very cool and menacing, harkening back to the stylized Batman logo of his comics in the 1970s. As for the rest of it, the show appears to be solely crafted to appeal to the kids that grew up on the popular Batman videogames and their cutscenes.

I don't like the shape of Batman's head, it reminds me of the horrible design from Batman: The Series.

As long as it has an interesting storyline and even more interesting characters I'll watch it.

That art style looks really bad. It looks like the CG you'd see in 90's cartoons when 3D models were starting to get incorporated into cartoons, or like the cutscenes from a PS1-era videogame. Why would they go this route
