Awesome. Now if only they start releasing some of the other DC animated movies in steelbook. Batman: Under The Red Hood, for starters

I hope I'm not starting any conflict or whatever by saying this, but I thought I read through many threads that they stopped producing G1 sized steelbooks?

This does look pretty awesome.

I'm not sure. I believe the Tomb Raider videogame steelbook that came out in March was G1-sized.

Well, hopefully, with this being a movie and from WB, it'll be G2 (I'm 99% sure).
Now, here's hoping that I can make it to Target early that morning (I am not ordering anything from them online).

Yeah most video game steelbooks are G1 most likely because of the Xbox cases being that size.

This will probably be G2 though. I can't remember the last G1 BD steelbook we had.

I guess I need to look and see what the differences are between this deluxe edition and the original 2 releases.

I wasn't going to buy the deluxe edition, but for a steelbook <$25 and I'm sure I can trade/sell the original discs for a little bit of that back... I might bite on this.

Simply put, the Deluxe Edition is a "supercut," if you will, of both films cut into one feature length movie, and it comes packed with all of the original features, some additional featurettes, I believe, and a Frank Miller commentary. It's definitely worth the upgrade, IMO.

That is how DC does their logo now, like you are turning the page. I don't care for it, their last one was perfectly fine.

I haven't seen that in the US anywhere yet? But I see the French Batman/Returns/Forever/Robin steelbooks have the same thing. So that is seriously just part of the painted artwork? Completely ruining the entire aesthetic?

I told myself I wasn't going to double dip since I have the separate releases but I can't say not to a steelbook plus it has new special features

Looks nice. I might go for it, even if it is G1.
Didn't France release a bunch of DCU steelbooks, that looked to be G1? Have they come out yet for anyone to confirm?

Looks really nice. I'll have to watch the ones I already have before deciding to purchase this.

it will be hard to part with the amaray versions with nice slipcovers.
