Moon.

It's found more of an audience on home video, but it barely had a theatrical release and is still unfamiliar to most people. It's a shame because it's an excellent, intelligent little slice of sci-fi. No action, no dazzling FX, but a terrific thought-provoking story -- and wonderful acting by Sam Rockwell in a one-man show. Easily the best of the genre in the last 10 or 15 years.

You may disagree if you like . . . but you're wrong!

Doesn't need it...it's from one of the most celebrated working filmmakers and has tons of fans...I don't see mass appeal as necessary for good films...I'd say most good films don't have it.

True. Almodovar has all the fanbase and critical support he needs to keep making brilliant films.

I just hope we haven't lost Chan-Wook Park to Hollywood with Stoker.

Oh, good one. Very good one. This doesn't even get a lot of chatter in the Criterion thread. I can't even remember what prompted me to put the BD in my NetFlix queue but I was very glad I did.

I thought The Thing prequel got a raw deal. It wasn't a masterpiece by any stretch but, it deserved better.

That's a good point---most of us didn't see it until at least 2010 anyway. A great film indeed---I'd agree on that one being underrated. Despite being on blu-ray from a popular label, it really gets zero attention.

Most definetily. I highly enjoyed the prequel a lot more than I thought I would. It wasn't really scary, though, but I do admit to jumping a few times.

I love Scott Pilgrim, I know it was pretty well received, but it would probably be my #2 of the decade behind Drive so far.
