Yes it's at my Wal-Mart as well which REALLY surprised me. I'm from a small town and they hardly carry titles like that. Not to mention for some odd reason they are reducing the Blu-Rays they have in favor of DVD. But then again it's Wal-Mart.

My Walmart had it as well, at $20, so I bought it the other day to help encourage them to carry more older titles (they have very few, but sometimes carry something that neither Target nor Best Buy will stock locally (including CABARET, for that matter). Not sure when I'll have time to sit down and watch it, but I hope to spot-check the quality in the next couple of nights, and as I've seen it quite a few times I may watch it with the commentary before watching the whole film over again on its own. Looking forward to hearing what that stereo remix will sound like.

Did anyone order the Target exclusive that includes a CD? I did and I just received it and it does not include the CD. I called Target to return it and see if it was their mistake and sent me the wrong item. Unfortunately it is sold out online. Anyone else receive the CD?

I am thinking maybe it is a listing error on Target's part, and that there is no exclusive set that includes a CD. Maybe Target realized their error and took it off-line right away.

The customer service agent I spoke to on the phone didn't have any info on the product. He kept calling it CABARET; with emphasis on the T.

You don't know but you do! I watched the Blu-ray and didn't notice them, but I'll have to double check.

I've actually never watched Cabaret but I've always wanted too and was excited to see it at Wal-Mart. I hope it's there for a wile because I'd love to pick it up. Sadly didn't have the cash when I saw it.

Well, it seems Target has the listing for the 2 Disc version online again. I'm not sure if I should place another order. I returned the first order of the so-called 2 disc Digibook.

***************
I called Target's customer service line to inquire about the product. The agent I spoke to confirmed it does not come with a CD. She said she would see about getting the listing on their website fixed. Oh well.....off to Amazon to place my order.

Default Sucked in too

I just received my copy from a US eBay seller - and surprise, surprise. No CD as per their listing. It seems it really never existed as I can't find anyone who actually has it or sells it, despite what they advertise.

This a a top 5 film of the 70's for me, one of the best musicals i've ever seen. I didn't know she was Judy Garland's daughter until the movie started , definately a must buy digibook.

If you like the DVD, you really ought to upgrade to the Blu. The lossless 48kHz, 24-bit sound alone is worth the price of admission.

The HD restoration is really top notch if you like the film enough try to snap up the BLU at some point.
Stop the Replacing of original Studio Opening / Closing logos! These are becoming endangered and should be kept intact. They are part of film history.
