Agreed. But, IMO, I thought when
[Show spoiler]Maria is in the water and hits the tree branch
was one of the biggest Jump scenes in the entire film for me.

Watched THE IMPOSSIBLE last night. Acting is absolutely stellar across the board (Naomi Watts earned her Oscar nod). Visual f/x, production design, and make-up are among the best I've ever seen. Watching it, I remarked out loud, "How did they get these shots?"

The movie also understands the intense focus that grips you during a major natural disaster, and the subsequent emotional deluge when you can allow yourself the luxury of feeling again.

Easily one of the best films of last year.

Spot on with everything there.

I know some people won't think so, but I'm actually glad I own it because I think it actually has some replay value.

Just picked this up finally, I was flabbergasted when I looked on the back of the case and saw in Canada this is rated PG, it is one of the most intense movies I have ever seen. The sound was absolutely amazing, although I wish this got a 7.1 DTS MA track.

Just came back from my viewing. People were literally crying in the theater...
It's one of those movies that move you in an earnest, unpretentious way. Definitely one of the best movies last year.

32 minutes in....this is horrifying to watch. Great so far. I don't think I would watch this again but it's good for a one time viewing for sure
