THAT'S IT I'm calling it quits! The original is a killer for me it amazes me my siblings are able to get thru it while complaining every time. As of now, we are at the Frieza saga and they can't stand me making jokes in between each episode (I watch too much "Dragon Ball Pee pee"). And when I say "Alright that's enough!", they go "NO they haven't fought yet!". That's when I go "EXACTLY!"
I'm selling the entire series on Orange brick DVD for $160 flat. Seasons 8 and 9 have yet to be opened. Letting the word go out there. Can't wait to pick up Kai. That said, Season Four has been announced, slated for March 12th 2013.

The Kai's are the edited versions, whereas the level are the full show. However, the stopped making the levels one and there is no plan to finish them.
It's only a movie.

Well edited as in cutting out the Filler that DBZ has but not edited as in like something you would watch on like TV(unless Adult Swim's Toonami starts airing DBZ Kai).

Voice actors are mostly the same when Toonami was airing the Funimation voice cast of DBZ. There are a few changes. Like I mentioned in my last post, Kai cuts out all of the Filler DBZ has. DBZ Kai also airs on The CW. For Nickelodeon, it's on Nicktoons. Not the main Nickelodeon channel. IGN and RPGamer- Ar tonelico II Best PS2 Game Award for 2009

If you want to get really technical, Dragon Ball Kai has had some editing for violence compared to Dragon Ball Z: no footage actually cut IIRC, but the amount of blood visible has been reduced a bit, because of changes in Japanese broadcast standards over 20 years and both shows having a different timeslot (DBZ aired on Wednesday afternoon, while DBK aired on Saturday morning).

I posted this on another forum but I am curious which score is better Kenji Yamamoto or Shunsuke Kikuchi? I know that it is a matter of preference and in the end the decision is up to me but I am not as experienced with DBZ Kai and perhaps the rest of you and haven't heard as much of Yamamoto's score. Though what I have heard I have really enjoyed. My favorite though would have to be this scene here. The music is just so beautiful and the dialogue is fantastic.
PS: What Parts has the Yamamoto music in it? Last edited by ShamelessFanGirl; 04-28-2013 at 12:30 AM. |
