Default Need Help !! Samsung 3D glasses lost sync to tv and now won't resync

I have a Samsung PN59D550 3D plasma. Has been working great since day 1,until this evening.
My 3D player is the PS3.
All of a sudden tonight my glasses lost sync to the tv. I'm using the Samsung 3D glasses SSG-3100GB
Thinking it might be low batteries I opened up a new pair of glasses I had stored away put the new battery in and that pair won't sync either.
Tried several movies and even did everything the glasses state to do with troubleshooting. I've tried syncing the glasses close to the tv and other distances several times, and all they do is flash red, green, red, green and then shut off.
The picture is 3D it's just that the glasses won't turn on and sync to the tv.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Still not working. I did what you said,I actually unplugged the PS3,Shut off all cell phones and anything else electronic wise.

Called Samsung and spent almost 45 minutes with them, although nice they don't know sh*t.
They couldn't even find the Samsung glasses that I own in their system. The guy ultimately told me to return the glasses and try out another pair.
I spent more time on the phone on hold and or telling and retelling them the same thing over and over again.
It's a obvious sync problem and at first they said it was the PS3, which I then told him the PS3 is unplugged and I should just be able to do the 2d to 3d option without the use of the PS3 and it should work but it doesn't. So I eliminated the PS3 option for them.
I don't know I might return my tv because this is lame.

blufan make sure your batteries are placed in correctly (not trying to say your dumb but a simple mistake can me made).. the ssg-3100gb might not be in their system because they have been discontinued.. i personally would try a few more attempts before exchanging those glasses since im not a fan of the new model ssg3050gb.. turn your converter on the tv itself making sure 3D is on then try syncing the glasses while your ps3 is still unplug.

Got it working finally. Had to do a reset on the tv.
Don't know why I didn't think of that myself.
I took all 3 pairs to Best Buy and the employee was able to sync them to there Samsung tv just fine. Then he told me I should do a reset of the tv.
I was spending more time eliminating everything else instead of just working on the tv.
Funny thing is Samsung never even brought doing this up,they went right after the PS3 and the glasses.

chameleontongue I can't thank you enough for taking your time and giving me some great help and advice. I mentioned to Samsung when I was talking to them that I've received more helpful advice from a Blu-ray.com member that what they've given me. And you were correct, the Best Buy employee said that he would have told me to do that(turn off all electronics and Bluetooth devices) if you hadn't mentioned it to me before hand.
Once again THANK YOU for your time and helping out a fellow member, you Kick Ass my friend.

Mods if you would like to close this thread you may, thanks for allowing me to put it up.

I'll add to this thread that I'm having an issue with my Samsung Glasses. (5150). I got a pair last fall when I got my Epson 2030 projector. Hooked up to a PS3 they worked fine the first night and I demoed a few movies. A couple weeks later I watched Fury Road, no issues. They've sat for a few months since I didn't have much time to watch anything. And when I turned them on the other day they wouldn't sync. Switched out the battery with a new one, same thing. It goes light green, dark green, then red. If you keep holding the button it will flash red again and then stop.

I've googled this and tried all sorts of things, nothing's worked. Turned off player,
Had player on no movie, with movie, projector unplugged for a few minutes, changing 3D settings, to no avail. I still need to get a few pairs of rechargeable glasses, but in the meantime I'm not happy.
Any suggestions?

Well Iím a bit embarrassed/infuriated. First off, my problem was the battery, as I reluctantly spent $7 on a new battery (1/4 the cost of the glasses!) and they flashed red/green until they synced, which took a few seconds.

So the first battery that I used for maybe a total of 4-5 hours of use ( and left it in, but Iím sure it was off) was dead, as was the ďnewĒ extra battery that was in the box. The troubleshooting guide says that the battery is dead if the light flashes red continuously. It didnít. It lit up light green, dark green, red, then paused, then red, then nothing. I found nothing in hours of googling about that sequence and what it could mean. Could I have called Samsung support? Yes. But based on most of the replies I found online I donít think that would have helped. Call it sour grapes, but whatever. Water over the bridge. I will be contacting them and see what they say. Itís useless to have something like that kill a battery, unless it was already almost dead, since the extra ďnewĒ one was DOA. Either way, itís bad. Hopefully I can get some kind of compensation. From now on I will be going with rechargeable glasses, which I would have done in the first place except for the cost. Knowing what I know now, I wouldnít have gone with battery powered ones.

Default This May Help

I too, have the Samsung 5150 3D Active glasses for use with a Samsung TV. I found that when sync problems occur, other Bluetooth devices such as headphones may interfere. Shut off your headphones and re-sync your glasses via the on/off/sync button on the glasses. You may turn your headphones on again after your glasses are in sync.

Please note: The sync process drains the battery tremendously (It warns of this in the setup manual for the glasses). So, trying to sync the glasses repeatedly sets up another problem (Battery drain) which is probably why they include a second battery! When the glasses sync up, you will see the battery level on the TV screen when it notifies you that your glasses are in sync.

Hello,

I have a Samsung pn51d550c1f that we watch daily, but it has been about 6 months since using the 3D functionality.

Tonight I put the newest 3D movie into the PS4 and for the next hour cursed and swore at the TV because I could not get my 3D glasses to work.

The 3D was on.
The lights flashed on the glasses and the message came on the screen and said paired.
The lenses never darkened and never showed a 3D picture.

Following other threads on this site I tried several things like resetting the TV to factory settings by holding the exit button on the remote. I also unplugged the TV to try and reset blue tooth. I shut off all other blue tooth devices in the house. I put all new batteries in the glasses.

If anyone has other ideas I am all ears. I wonder if the emitter is shot. The TV works great outside of this. Hate to buy a new one just for 3d, but hey the 4Ks do look sweet!

Hi. I had this problem too of the glasses no syncing with my 3D tv. I tried everything here

http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber/...71&modelcode=&

and here

http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber/..._id=&from_osc=

including the related articles

http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber/..._id=&from_osc=

and

http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber/..._id=&from_osc=

None of those methods worked.

So I clicked the link in google that pointed to this thread. I have found solutions to problems with computers, dvd players, etc in forums so I thought maybe the solution will present itself on a forum as it has many times in the past.

Anyway back to the point.

I was using the batteries on the left in this pic.

The light wouldn't come on. Not the green nor the red.
So I thought I'll try a battery from one of the other packets I have. I bought a fair few because I do watch quite a lot of 3D movies.
So once I tried a battery from the other pack (on the right in this pic, note the small bumps that look like dots on the batteries), soon as I pressed the power button on the glasses the light came on immediately. It flashed green and red a few times (it was very dim green and red), then turned off. I re-synced it using the method of opening the battery cover, holding down the power button and closing the cover. The message came up on my tv that the glasses are connected and it works!

So when buying batteries make sure they are CR2025 Lithium 3V and have the small bumps on them. Don't buy that Sony brand. They are useless. They don't have the small bumps on them.

Yeah, but my TV says that they are paired and the lights on the glasses go green. The lenses never darken. I believe that the TV isn't sending out the signal.

After months of not using viewing a movie in 3d I try and watch one today and have the same exact problem as soldiermedic. Has anyone found a solution to this?

To reiterate the TV says that the glasses are connected but the glasses never dim and the picture continues to look blurry. I Try the system diagnostic and it indicates that they are paired but the picture it then shows is blurry.

I have a UN55HU8550FXZA and a Samsung SEK-3500U/ZA Evolution KIT attached to it. I was using the HT-H6500WM/ZA to play the 3D Blu-ray. I am thinking my next step is to uninstall the Evolution Kit and see if that works. I don't want to do that as it kind of defeats the purpose of the kit...

If anyone has any advice it would be appreciated.

Ok I figured out what was causing the issue it was as I feared the Samsung SEK-3500U/ZA Evolution KIT. When I disconnected it 3D worked again. Which stinks as I paid extra for that upgrade.

So in short it appears that the Samsung SEK-3500U/ZA Evolution KIT is breaking my TV's ability to play 3d movies when it is connected.

Does anyone else own the evolution kit and encountered a similar problem and more importantly solved it?
