Hello JV.

Oh the projector is coming, that's a fact. I hope to have the projector and screen installed by Christmas week. I've even scheduled my vacation for that very week so I can make sure it happens. The only thing that would curtail the event is the out of nowhere, unforseen, unexpected expense were to rear it's ugly head! With a 16 year older just receiving her driver's permit, you just never know!

If I opt for the Sony, then a 1.3 gain is mandatory due to it's low lumen rating. With the Panny, 1.0 -1.1 gain. With the Epson, a straight up gray screen. The Stewart Grayhawk comes to mind. Size: 92 - 103". That will depend on the projector also. Effective throw distance relative to PQ is always a challenge. My room is 18 feet long. The projector will be mount on the rear wall while the screen will be approximately 3 feet from the front wall. So we're talking a 14-15ft throw distance. Each projector has a different throw threshold. I haven't done the calculations yet, but all three should be able to accommodate that distance and screen size parameter.

I really like Stewart screens. But they can be as much as some pj's. Good thing you have those deep pockets.
