I'm going back a bit, but it was either the Best Buy Hurt Locker, Scarface, or Best Buy Superman Returns.

I'm not counting games or DVD's.

The Bourne exclusive from Best Buy around 2007 maybe? Had no idea what steelbooks were. Just thought it looked cool.

Wasn't really a steelbook collector until recently, and I use collector loosely -- if I can buy it in the store, I may or may not get it, but I certainly won't overpay on eBay for it or buy overseas versions. Plus I'll take Digibook over the steelbook version every time.

I think my first steelbook was Dune on DVD just because it happened to come in a steelbook. Uncharted 3 for the PS3 might be the second one. The first Blu-ray steelbook I got was Scarface because I could get it for like $5 with Best Buy's upgrade and save.

Mine was the Hurt Locker Best Buy steel. Then the UP pre order case....I still remember seeing an endcap overflowing with the UP cases (cue "memories")
If I knew then what I know now..
Well that escalated quickly..
