When I was a kid and received Jurassic Park on VHS, I watched the tape at least three or four times a week for a couple of years straight. To add, I've seen the film countless times throughout my life since my VCR days. Still to this day, I can recite nearly every line before the actors do.
"...We must somehow dream. If we don't 'go to the movies' in any form, our minds wither and sicken."

This one was on AMC tonight, the back and forth is great throughout. Everyone recognizes the lines right before these, even if they haven't seen the movie....which is?

"Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinburg? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago, and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to. "

While that's way too easy and won't spoil it in case it's not for others, but I have to say, the actor saying those lines is at his most defining moment in an otherwise golden career filed with such moments.

Cool quiz buddy

I can quote Kevin Costner's Revenge....word for word, both the regular cut and the directors cut.

Happy Gilmore. Ahh, the times when Adam Sandler was pseudo-original and his characters weren't just annoying.

Also, the episode of The Simpsons, where Bart sells his soul to Milhouse; I watched that so many times as a kid that it quoting it replaced commonplace language.

Pre-orders: The Wicker Man Steel, Star Trek XI Zavvi Steel, 12 Angry Men, Raising Arizona, La Notte, The Sand Pebbles, Patton, The Great Escape, The Murderer Lives at 21, Les Miserables Digibook, One Hour Photo, Brides of Dracula, Evil of Frankenstein, Blow Out and The Last Temptation of Christ.

For those who've never experienced a midnight showing filled with diehards this has to be experienced at least once in a lifetime.

Glad you brought this up! I spent many a Friday and Saturday nights at the midnight movies learning each and every line.

Almost forgot about Half Baked, which is also weird considering almost every time I watched it, I was fully baked. Yes, even Brian's shopping list.
