Thing is, A LOT of people who haven't seen the movies in 2013 are kids who HAVEN'T been exposed to it.

Believe it or not, but....there are actually people out there under the age of 15! (GASP!)

To be fair, I had heard that line parodied so much as a kid that by the time I actually saw the scene for the first time it was less "OMG VADER IS LUKE'S FATHER?!?!" and more "Oh, so that's where that line is really from. Huh."

It's both - Anakin brought balance by killing every mother ****er in the room. The slate was wiped clean of the dogmatic Jedi and the power-mad Sith, allowing the Force to start afresh. After struggling to understand what was meant by the "balance" outlined in the Jedi's prophecy, this realisation struck me a couple years ago and it was like a lightbulb went on in my head.

That's why I love Star Wars, you can still be unlocking bits and pieces of the story years later. Then I watch the fireside scene in Clones and feel like hitting my face with a tyre iron.

I'm not sure how the Anakin = Darth Vader can really be considered a spoiler considering just how deeply engrained into pop culture it is. But just in terms of watching the films in an enjoyable order and preserving drama and suspense, my preferred order is 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6.

The prequels are a weak intro considering most of their appeal is solely as prequels to the prior 3 films - so this positions them as more of a flashback, after we're already invested in these characters in 4 and 5. It also preserves the "reveal" in 5, and lengthens the time the unresolved plot threads dangle making it all the more satisfying when you finally get to 6.

Yes regardless of the obvious twist in Empire, I would still recommend any newbies to watch them in theatrical release order. The prequels are not a good introduction to the universe and characters. If you watch them in episode order, Yoda gets a boring first impression. The prequels definitely rely on what you already know from the originals.

A New Hope is a great introduction to the Star Wars universe, and it's fun to discover things along with Luke.

That's probably one of the worst moments in the entire saga next to the Jar-Jar stuff. It's amazing though how much better their relationship was handled in EpIII with the exception of the "Annie You're Breaking My Heart" line which I couldn't help but roll my eyes at. The Padme's Ruminations scene that takes place just before Mac Windu dies is genius. No dialog, just beautiful, haunting music. You can really feel Anakin's pain.

In response to my earlier idea of creating new artwork for Star Wars covers, I came up with this.

Let me take you through how these came to be...

First of all, I needed my 'hero shots' and came up with these six.

After I removed their useless lightsabers and retouched them, I needed some nice backgrounds.

Not quite happy with IV not being in the same style as the others, I then had to try something different. I also had to remove parts of Yoda and Luke's legs in the background of V.

Now I added some new lightsabers and fixed the back of V by coloring and cloning out Luke's legs and parts of Yoda. I did some Lucasing and edited out the two suns on the back of VI. Also did a new background for IV, by taking the shot of Luke watching out on the horizon and contract it. I used this nice shot:

Now, for the final part, I needed to install the TT I wanted to use along with my movie titles.

With the last part, I added some of the characters surrounding colors on themselves, to make it appear as if they were really standing there, and cut out from elsewhere.

---

So, when I realized that all character shots of Luke for V and VI were useless, I had to create my own.
For V I used the Dagobah shot and added another head.

VI is whole other story. No character shots were of useful quality, so I did what I didn't wanna do, but it turned out very nice. I used an action figure and added a headshot of Luke.

---

Now I really feel I created something new for Star Wars. And now on to the backs!

Excellent work. Have you tried a serif font for the Roman numerals? I think it might look better, just my two cents.
