I completely agree and if you can find a dealer in your area who can demo both models for you, I would obviously recommend you to go that route. Not knowing where you live though, I only mentioned Best Buy as it might be more likely you have one near you than a smaller store that carries these speaker brands. Hearing them both (even in a poor demo environment) would still be better than blind buying them or asking strangers which one is a "better" choice on an online forum.

Demoing in the store could be worst than owner or reviewer opinions. It just to hard to do a comparison in the store. You would be better off purchasing the speakers and returning them if you don't like them that way you can at least evaluate them in your own room.

We'll just agree to disagree on this one. I hope your search for speakers is successful though!

Well I guess your position has a lot of merit consider that most reviewers seem to praises every speaker. Having said that, if you've been to Best Buy lately you see that the way they have their speakers set up its extremely difficult to evaluate them. I went there I was trying to listen to some Klipsch towers and bookshelf, if anyone been there you know how bad of a set up they have Klipsch speakers. I had to buy the speakers take them home and listen to them.

I got a pair last week. Unhooked my CM10 s2's and used them as fronts and was shocked they did so good. They are now being used as rears.
