I suppose if someone isn't multi region and they want an A compatible version then the JPN is the best one by default, or maybe they just really want the extras which tell you what guns are used in the film? But if someone doesn't want to spunk $50+ dollars and they can play region B, the IT is an excellent alternative IMO.

(Reminds me of the aura which surrounds the JPN edition of T2, or The Crow. They're both derived from the same tired transfers that have been released elsewhere but somehow they've attained mythic status; high prices tend to do that, I guess. I sold my JPN Crow for 40 and bought the UK one for a fiver.)
The best thing in the world would be to use the JP transfer with the highest bitrate DTS-HD MA 5.1 24-bit track found on the Miramax 6 pack.

Good tip, if I enjoy the movie to the point I want it to look better I'll get the IT version and put it in the US case.

I have it. It's wroth it. Plus the cover and spine is in English and has the correct title. The thing that always bothered me about the Japanese release (besides the 16 bit audio) was the new title. Rebellion, ugh.

The blurb is still in Italian but yeah, the title's in English and is the right way up on the spine and everything. It's even got the Miramax logo on the spine too, what could be more American than that?

Yeah their release of The Faculty is also great and better than it's US counterpart. 24 bit audio and much higher birate. Also a cool extra of just random on set footage.

As a Pulp Fiction teen I really can't think of anything more American than Miramax.

There you go then, you'll feel right at home with the Italian version visible on your shelf, only it won't be talking everyone's ear off or constantly drinking espressos. (I'm part Italian but I can't stand coffee.)

I'm full-blood Irish technically, so we're supposed to hate each other I think. Unless some my grandparents came from Northern Ireland. I don't think I ever asked them. FREE IRELAND YOU IMPERIALIST DOGS!

Oh wait I own like 200 UK imports. Never mind.
