There were some really amazing scenes that featured some incredible depth .....Like looking down the frozen corridor and at the command center..... I thought it was a great movie with really good 3D.

Just finished watching it (FINALLY). I agree with you MF2010 100%. It's definitely going to be a standard Christmas flick to watch for future Christmases to come in this mancave, lol. I really thought the 3D was really good.....not excellent or fantastic....just a really good 3D presentation with a great story. Loved it.

As far as 3D goes: I think Polar Express has stronger 3D. Arthur Christmas has more subtle 3D scenes and is much more colorful than Polar Express. I thought the character models in AC had more dimension to it than TPE.....but that may have something to do with TPE having a lot of dark scenes. This is all imo. You should give Arthur Christmas a try. I think you will like it.

Arthur Christmas has a very straightforward story that keeps you interested all the way till the end. There are no photo-real characters as in TPC or Tintin that will take you to a tripin uncanny valley. 3D is also awesome with many many flying scenes and some amazing depth in many scenes. AC is a more comic take on Christmas so you will not feel the same nostalgia as TPC. Last edited by Big3dfan; 12-21-2012 at 04:42 PM. |
