I need some advice and opinion. I bought a store model http://www.amazon.com/Sony-BRAVIA-KDL46HX850-46-Inch-Internet/dp/B006U1VGAQ
today from HH Gregg. Price was $1350. Best Buy sells one new for $1600. Amazon's price is $2000. I also got a 5 year warranty for $387 and two active glasses for $50 for both. So a total of a little over $1800 with tax. I haven't brought the TV home yet because this was an impulse and I wasn't planning on buying a TV today. So, tomorrow I'm either going to pick it up or cancel the sale. I like Sony and I think this is the best Sony TV out there and I've been watching it a long time but the price has never dipped below $1550. The guy in the store said Sony made a better LED picture and he's not the only person who has said it. I've heard it multiple times. What has me concerned is it is a store model. It's been on all day everyday for probably a year. I jumped at the price more than anything before even thinking. Are store models going to crap out? (thus the warranty, I would get a warranty anyway). Should I keep the TV or cancel? Your advice is appreciated.

See also: https://www.google.com/search?q=buyi...&client=safari I personally wouldn't buy it. Like the people of AVS have pointed out, its burned a lot of hours and has been in torch mode the entire time. I doubt I'd even waste my time at a 75% discount. "I wanted Uhura to kick ass. My humble opinion? The only way I would buy used is if I knew the person selling it to me, otherwise of all things electronic, a TV is the last thing I would purchase used unless the discount was way more that the small $250 BB is asking for a new one.
In short, the deal ain't worth it to me. |
