I'd buy it. One of my favorite animated movies. The sequence with the ships moving around the giant ice crystals could look stunning on Blu-ray.

It would also be nice if they were able to go back and redo the final shot of the film pulling away to show the planet's surface. If I recall correctly, on the commentary Bluth and Goldman express disappointment over it because they were literally working on the film right up to the very last minute before release and simply weren't able to fully complete that shot. And it does look very rough, especially compared to the rest of animation.

Decided to pull out the old DVD. First time I've watched it since Blu Ray became a thing I think. Looks pretty decent upconverted from our Samsung UBD-K8500 onto our UN65KS9500.

I love this cartoon. I watched it in 2000 when I was 15. It just didn't do very well, because it looks a lot like Jonny Quest in space. Jonny Quest is also rejected by Hollywood (I watched the Real Adventures of Jonny Quest in grade school). Please bring this to Bluray though.

I logged in for the first time in probably over a year to say, heck yes this needs to be on blu-ray. Just watched it again on DVD with my kids, and I have loaned it out MANY times.
